I normally post a community or builder spotlight each Friday, but the short week led me to try something different. This week's spotlight is about two real estate investment rock stars in Austin, Castle Hill Investments and the Crossland Team.
Both Texas real estate brokers specialize in single and multi-family investment property. I chose these two companies because I respect how they do business.
I'm preparing for the upcoming year-end market update, so expect to hear from both Robert Grunnah, Jr. and Steve Crossland on how they think the Austin real estate market will perform in 2008. The 3rd Quarter Austin Market Update was a huge success with over one thousand views of my audio slideshow.
WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT STEVE CROSSLAND'S TEAM?
While the Copeland Group specializes in representing builders and investors in new construction, infill development, lots, land, flips, rehabs, and sale-leaseback opportunities, Steve's team works with many rental investors. Our rental investors, on the other hand, typically acquire portfolios.
1. Steve, Sylvia, and their team help investors find 1-4 unit rental investments. The Crossland Team is affiliated with Keller Williams Realty, the largest brokerage in town and 4th largest in the country. Keller Williams was founded and is based in Austin, Crossland Team investors have greater access to agents, service providers and investor networks.
2. Steve Crossland and his Keller Williams Realty team are members of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) as well as the Texas Apartment Association. Steve has a Master Property Manager (MPM) designation, which is tough to obtain.
3. Steve has a respected Austin real estate blog that provides solid real estate advice.
WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO WORK WITH CASTLE HILL INVESTMENTS?
- Castle Hill Investments has also been a force to be reckoned with in the 1-4 unit investment market. Robert Grunnah, Jr. and his company offer "turnkey investment property services", which means they locate, analyze, assist with purchases, sell, lease and manage.
- The Castle Hill Investment website has useful information for rental investors new to the Austin real estate market. I especially like their explanation of Austin areas they recommend for rental property investment, which is the Tech Corridor in North Austin and affordable South Austin.
- Robert Grunnah, Jr. is an independent broker with an MBA who built his business to a level of success that rivals even the largest brokers in town.
I hope you enjoyed this broker spotlight and look forward to interviewing them for the 2007 Austin Real Estate Market Update. If you are interested in the Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas real estate, don't worry! We'll have an annual market update for those areas as well.
